Maria’s professional path was shaped by a rich tapestry of roles and responsibilities. She began her career as part of the care-at-home program at Valley Medical Group, where she served in five different assisted-living communities, providing essential care to residents of all ages. Her experience extended beyond traditional geriatric care, as she also worked with pediatric patients, showcasing her versatility and adaptability in the field of nursing.
Transitioning to a new challenge, Maria spent six years as a correctional nurse at the Morris County Correctional Facility, demonstrating her ability to thrive in dynamic and demanding environments.
At The Vista, Maria found a home where her passion for holistic wellness could truly flourish. Recognizing the multifaceted nature of wellness, Maria actively engages residents in a variety of activities, from joining the walking club to participating in meditation classes. She embodies the spirit of encouragement, empowering residents to explore new experiences and live their best lives. Despite the demanding nature of her work, Maria remains steadfast in her pursuit of higher education as she studies at Passaic County Community College to become a registered nurse.

Beyond her professional identity, Maria is a vibrant individual with a love for hiking, salsa dancing, and cooking. Originally from western Massachusetts, Maria’s roots run deep, and she finds joy in returning home to her large, close-knit family.
